Women’s Ministries

Follow Southern Women on Facebook for the latest events and news. Our events are designed to build friendships and nurture our relationship with God.

Circle of Friends – once a month on a Saturday morning at various coffee shops in the local area.

Ladies retreat days – 2 per year when we draw away from the normal schedule to re-orientate ourselves in God.

Ladies camps – 2 weekends a year to enjoy God’s good creation and build relationships with other women.

Movie nights – popcorn, chocolate, great company, and a good movie! Organised on an ad-hoc basis or when the need arises!

Ladies Spring High Tea – with a small charge we enjoy morning tea together and hear from an inspirational speaker.

Men’s Ministries

Men’s Breakfast – Join us for a hearty breakfast once a term.

Men’s Coffee – Every second Thursday at 2pm we gather at Blue Jay Café, Sophia Drive, Albion Park for coffee and conversation. See our Facebook page to see the next gathering.

Community Care

We have several regular activities and events designed to support our local community. If you would like to know more, please use the contact form.

  • Tongarra Tukka – this is our weekly community meal that meets at The Cottage (107A Tongarra Rd, Albion Park). It’s a place for anyone who would enjoy some company and conversation around a table. Come along at 5:30 pm on Thursdays during the school term. Meals are provided free, but any donation towards the meal is accepted. For more information or a lift call Jeannie (our Church office can help with making contact – see our contact page).
  • Courthouse – Once a month we provide a free morning tea and friendly company for anyone who may be feeling a little tense about being in the Albion Park courthouse.
  • Living Creatively – Once a month people from the local community come and build relationships with one another and God through different forms of art. This innovative approach to spirituality includes guided direction, space to sense what is happening within themselves as well as what God might be saying, creative expression, and sharing with others.
  • New Steps – this is a support group for those who are separated, divorced or single again. As people transition through this time they may ask – how can I cope? What do I do? Is this normal? New Steps is a safe place where you can be yourself, be accepted, and be heard. People will listen and gently encourage you to grow through your pain. New Steps meets fortnightly on Monday evenings. For more information call Ken (our Church office can help with making contact – see our contact page).
  • Alpha – Alpha is a conversational course designed to create a safe space to share thoughts on the meaning of life and faith. Alpha participants are everyday people looking for a chance to have those conversations you can’t have in other places. Any question and any person is welcome. We gather together around a meal and then think through an aspect of the Christian Faith. Contact our office if you’d like to know when the next group is being run.
  • Meals and Pastoral Care – If you need a helping hand, whether that be a meal, a lift, or other practical support please let us know. We have a team of volunteers who are willing to give a little support when needed. You can contact Tracie our Pastoral Care Team (PCT) leader at [email protected]
