Stephen Cathcart
Stephen has served in church ministry for more than 25 years and has led Southern Church since 2012. He is a gifted communicator with a passion for helping people discover both the theological richness and practical outworking of life in Jesus. His teaching connects biblical truth with everyday life, equipping people to live out their faith with confidence and clarity.
In addition to his role at Southern Church, Stephen serves as a Scripture teacher and Primary School Chaplain, investing in the spiritual formation of the next generation. He holds both a Bachelor of Ministry and a Master of Theology from ACOM College and is an Endorsed Minister with Churches of Christ NSW & ACT.
Stephen is married to Angela, together they have three adult sons and are delighted to be new grandparents. They live in Albion Park and enjoy hiking and exploring the beauty of the mountains and sea close to home.

Leadership Board
Our Leadership Board is made up of dedicated volunteer members of our church community and meets monthly. Working in close partnership with the Senior Minister, the Board provides spiritual oversight, governance, and direction for the life of the Church.
Entrusted with responsibility and authority, the Board seeks to ensure that our Church remains firmly grounded in biblical truth, that our congregation is faithfully shepherded and cared for, and that God’s Word is taught with clarity, depth, and integrity. The Board also oversees the effective stewardship and management of the Church’s ministries, supported by a team of capable and committed leaders.
