We’re a church in the heart of the Southern Illawarra – Calderwood Valley, passionate about knowing Jesus and building genuine community.
SENIOR MINISTER –
For over 20 years, we’ve gathered as a community of local people learning to follow Jesus and live Christ-centred lives together. We believe Jesus is the Son of God, and that through Him we can find hope, forgiveness, healing, and restored relationship with God.
Whether you’re exploring faith, new to the area, or looking for a church to call home, there’s a place for you here.

Join us for our Sunday morning service at 9:30am every Sunday.
Each week we gather for worship, communion, and hear a message that unpacks Scripture, learning it’s meaning and how it applies to our lives today.
Join us after the servicd for morning tea and coffee while we connect with eachother. There is a prayer corner available after every service.

KIDS CHURCH
Our Sunday Kids Church is a safe, welcoming space where children are valued, cared for and encouraged to grow in their understanding of God.
Our team is made up of trusted, trained leaders who are passionate about creating a positive and engaging environment for every child.
Children begin the service with their families, before being invited to join Kids Church after worship, where they’ll enjoy age-appropriate Bible teaching, creative activities, and crafts designed to help bring each lesson to life.
We prioritise your child’s safety and wellbeing, wiht a check-in and check-out process, and children are returned to the main service at the end.
Our heart is for every child to feel known, loved and excited to come back each week.

We are located at Calderwood Christian School Hall, please turn right as you enter the car park and join us inside the school hall.

PRAYER DAY
22ND AUGUST
We’re gathering for our first Prayer Day at the new Church House! Starting at 8:30am, we’ll spend time praying through the surrounding streets, the house and seeking God’s direction for our new venture.
This will be a special time to listen, hear from God, and seek His guidance and feedback for this new season, trusting Him to lead us in how we use this space and serve our community.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
23RD AUGUST
Join us as we celebrate 23 years of Southern Church with a special anniversary service, giving thanks for all God has done and looking forward to what’s ahead.
After the service, stick around for an amazing morning tea as we celebrate together!

DEDICATION OF NEW CHURCH HOUSE

Join us as we officially open our Church House and dedicate it to the Lord’s work.

EMBRACING NEURODIVERSITY
Join us for an afternoon exploring neurodiversity through personal stories, shared experiences and meaningful conversation. Together, we’ll consider how we can grow in understanding, value one another’s differences and create a more inclusive church community.
